Characteristics of UV curable resin

1. Safety and environmental protection: UV resin is a solvent-free resin, with a solid content of 100%, which will be converted into a film after lighting, and the film will be full and bright, and there will be no harmful gas emission during the curing process, helping to improve the working environment and prevent air pollution. (2) High production efficiency: basically free from the influence of severe cold season, it can be quickly solidified at room temperature. (3) Good film forming performance: UV glazing not only has high gloss, smooth and flat film, but also has heat resistance, water resistance, scratch resistance and other properties. (4) Strong operability: because the traditional curing mechanism of UV glazing is different, it is not limited by the coating time, and the coated objects will not be cured without UV irradiation. There is sufficient time to exhaust air and remove bubbles, and there are clean and well maintained resins that are not used up that can continue to use, reduce waste, and save drug costs. (5) Brush coating, spray coating, roller coating, spray coating and other processes can be used. The coating can be thick or thin, and the products requiring film thickness can be coated several times.

2. UV resin curing mechanism The basic principle of UV glazing is to use a certain band of ultraviolet light to initiate a rapid curing reaction, so that the surface of the object can form a transparent gloss coating, playing a role in beautifying the decoration. Since the curing speed is in direct proportion to the light intensity, in order to improve the light intensity, in addition to using high-energy ultraviolet lamps to make full use of the light energy, the irradiation distance between the lamp and the work must be shortened to Z small. If low-energy light source is used, the lamp distance Z should be 6-8cm, and the closer the distance between lamps, the better. If the high-energy high-pressure lamp is used, the irradiation distance should be 25-35cm. The high-energy lamp will raise the temperature and accelerate the curing speed, which should be comprehensively controlled in the operation.

3. Precautions in UV glazing operation: UV curable resin is an independent material,

(1) UV curable resin cannot be mixed with other coatings.

(2) It is strictly prohibited to add thinner for dilution. If thinner is added, the effect after curing will be seriously affected. The fullness and hardness will not meet the requirements, and even blistering pinholes will occur.

(3) When UV curing resin is used, Z should use spraying method, and the film should not be too thick. No matter self leveling or other methods are used, UV light should be used after the bubbles are discharged.

(4) When UV curing resin is used, the working environment should be clean and dust-free, because the film is not covered to prevent the film surface from being polluted.

(5) When UV light curing resin is used, Z can easily use high-energy light source, and the effect is better.

(6) No matter what kind of light source is used, attention should be paid to the timely updating of the lamp tube. The light curing cannot be separated from the light. The stronger the light energy is, the better the curing effect is. The service life of the lamp tube is limited. If the service life is exceeded, the lamp tube should be replaced in time, otherwise the curing speed and effect will be affected.
